For someone who spent most of his early life living in his father’s two-room government flat, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has arguably come a long way to become one of the richest sportspersons in the cricketing world. An epitome of success, Dhoni’s leadership skills has aided Team India, his batting prowess has enthralled fans and his lightening quick glovework has terrorised opposition batsmen.
Despite the lack of resources and financial stability, Dhoni continued to work hard on his game and eventually his sublime performances in domestic cricket earned him a well-deserved Team India debut in 2004. Now, almost 14 years after donning the iconic blue jersey for the very first time, Dhoni is still going strong and if anyone has seen him play for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), they would agree that the Jharkhand cricketer is possibly in the best form of his life.
Today, he is undoubtedly one of the most loved and biggest sports icon in the country. His popularity with the fans also saw him turning into a highly sought after brand where he enjoys multiple endorsement deals. And, it’s safe to say that the young boy who came from a lower middle-class family struggling to make ends meet has now truly reached the highs he probably dreamt of.
From boasting an envious collection of automobiles to owning luxurious houses, Dhoni is living life king-size. But, amongst his prized possessions, there’s one thing in particular that stands out – his plush farmhouse ‘Kailashpati’ in Ranchi.
Situated in Ranchi’s Ring Road, the luxurious farmhouse spreads over a massive seven acres of land which understandably took three long years to build. Dhoni’s love for greenery is quite evident as Kailashpati’s mammoth area offers gorgeous landscapes. The freshly watered lawns pleasingly cover the better part of the property with a circular boundary lined with trees and shrubs of various shapes and sizes.
If the outdoors has impressed you already, wait till you get to know what’s inside. Just like MSD, Kailashpati boasts of everything grand and fancy. The property is well decked with an indoor stadium, a swimming pool, net practicing field, ultra-modern gym and, above all, a five-star hotel to cater to the needs of the Dhonis.
